Through the Data Integration system, users can upload, link, review, edit, and manage imaging reports efficiently. This article provides a comprehensive guide to managing imaging reports, including linking reports to patient charts, reviewing imaging results, editing reports, and linking or removing imaging orders. By following these processes, healthcare teams can ensure that imaging records are effectively utilized to support patient care.
This section outlines the essential steps for managing imaging reports, including linking, reviewing, editing, and removing reports.
Imaging reports can be managed in two primary ways:
Direct Upload: Access the Data Integration section from the triple-line menu and select Upload Document. This allows documents from a computer to be linked directly to a patient’s chart.
Faxed Documents: If a report arrives via fax, it appears in the Data Integration Inbox. These documents can be reviewed and processed directly from the inbox, ensuring they are linked to the appropriate patient.
In the Data Integration section, locate the Link to Patient field.
Search for the patient by name or date of birth.
Select the patient and choose Imaging Report from the document type dropdown menu.
Select a Reviewer from the dropdown list:
If a care team lead is assigned, their name automatically populates in the field.
If no care team lead is assigned, or a different reviewer is needed, choose an alternative from the dropdown.
Complete the remaining fields as required (indicated by a red asterisk).
Click Ready for Clinical Review to link the imaging report to the patient’s chart. A confirmation notification will appear.
To view the patient’s chart directly, click the patient’s name, or return to the schedule view for further navigation.
Once linked, imaging results can be reviewed using one of three methods:
Open the patient chart and click the Imaging Icon in the right panel.
Imaging report cards will appear in the right panel, with a red badge indicating reports awaiting review.
Expand the desired report card to view details and click Review.
In the Imaging Review Modal, review the document and complete the required fields.
