The Visual Exam Finding command is used to upload relevant images to the patient chart. 

FAQ

Q: I made a mistake, how do I remove this command?

A: Commands can be entered in error, but not deleted. Please review the Entering a Command in Error document for more information.

 

Q: Why is the image so small?  

A: To maximize space within your note, the image is displayed as a thumbnail.  Click the image to expand. 

 

Q: How do I print this command?

A: A command can be printed by using the triple dot menu to the right of the command and selecting the print option. 

Step by Step

  • Navigate to the note you'd like to upload the image to

  • Click on the triple dot menu located on the right-hand side of the note header

  • Click Link to Phone and a QR code appears on the screen

  • Launch the Canvas App on your iPhone or any iOS device

  • Click Scan QR Code

  • Scan the QR code displayed on the patient chart with your iOS device

  • Within the Canvas App, select Document Visual Exam Finding  from the menu options that are displayed once the app recognizes the QR code

  • Take the photo of the desired subject using the Canvas app

  • Crop, rotate, and resize as necessary using the native iOS controls at the bottom of the photo

  • Select Done once satisfied with the image, a blue checkmark appears when the image has been saved

  • Select back or the QR icon at the top of the app if all actions are completed for this patient

  • Navigate back to the patient chart in Canvas

  • Refresh page and the Visual Exam Finding Command should appear in the note along with the image

  • Type a Description/Title after the Command Title

  • Click RECORD to commit the command
