Restrict Free Text in Note

Canvas best practice is to have any documentation associated to a command. By default free text is allowed in the body of a note. This will prevent users from adding free text to a note.

Managing Restrict Free Text

• Navigate to Settings > Constance: Config to enable or disable the free text setting

• Under General Configuration there is a setting called ENABLE_FREE_TEXT_IN_NOTE

• Select the checkbox next to the setting to either enable or disable the free text setting

  • The checkbox on this setting will need to be checked to enable free text in the note and unchecked to disable free text in the note

• Click Save
