Q: I cannot find the immunization I need to document. What do I do?

A: Immunizations administered within the clinic must first be added to the list of available vaccines.  Please review Managing Vaccines for further information.

 

Q: What is the difference between the Immunize command and Immunization Statement command?

A: The Immunize command is used to document and charge for an immunization administered within the clinic. The Immunization Statement command is used to document immunizations given to the patient outside of the clinic.

 

Q: How do I print the Vaccine Information Statements (VIS) sheet?

A: The most up-to-date VIS (Vaccine Information Statements) are available from the CDC at this link.

 

Q: Can I document multiple vaccinations at once? 

A: Each vaccine requires an individual Immunize command. However, automations are powerful tools that can help assist with vaccines frequently administered together such as routine childhood vaccines. Please review our article on how to set up an automation for additional information.  

 

Q: I made a mistake, how do I remove this command?

A: Commands can be entered in error, but not deleted. Please review the Entering a Command in Error document for directions.  

 

Q: How do I print this command?

A: A command can be printed by using the triple dot menu to the right of the command and selecting the print option. 

 

Q: Where does the Immunize command populate options from?
A: The immunize command populates from vaccines in settings.
